Phuket, Thailand 2024
Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and a tourist delight. There is so much to do and prices are ridiculously cheap.

I hired a private guide for five hours and was quite pleasantly surprised to see the deluxe van he brought, to say nothing of the driver. We’re talking $115 total!

It is such a vibrant place. It’s fun to watch the ultra-fresh fish getting prepared to be sold.

In the Old Town, the street is lined with colorful 19th-century shophouses and Sino-Portuguese buildings.

We had a wonderful meal here highlighted by Thai pineapple fried rice.

The ladies in my life had a fun elephant ride.

A visit to the Big Buddha is a must. It is made of concrete and covered with Burmese white marble.

Since the ladies were not dressed appropriately, proper attire was purchased.

We took a short respite under a banyon tree.
Back at Patong, tide was out, which created a nice view of the longboats.
Massages are a must in Phuket. I had an $8 one-hour wonderful foot massage before reboarding our ship.
