Northern Idaho (2021)

Moving along, our Road Trip 2021 brought us to Northern Idaho, a first for both of us. First stop was in pretty Coeur d’Alene where we hiked Tubbs Hill affording us a great view of the lake.

Coeur d’Alene population is booming. It attracts people who are older, white, want low cost of living, light traffic and tend to have conservative political views.

We stayed at The Lodge at Sandpoint in a beautiful waterfront suite on Lake Pend Oreille. I must admit I am quite proud of this pick as previously I had never heard of the lake, let alone the hotel or even Sandpoint, Idaho. It is so beautiful and peaceful here.

Is it just us, or does anybody else think it is strange to see a fish kiosk? And, in a Sandpoint parking lot yet. Here is another strange business. Not much growth potential here probably. Do you think this merchant thinks things have been slow just because of covid?

Favorite restaurant – The Hydra Steakhouse.
