Canada Train Trip (2021)
Today we flew from LAX to Vancouver to begin our Canada train trip.
It was comforting to know our fellow passengers both today, and on the train, will be vaccinated, but what a pain covid is administratively. Two days ago we had to get a covid test to enter Canada. Today we waited forever to clear Canada Customs given all the covid paperwork. Then we had to go to a different location in town to check in for the rail journey and it took forever, also due to covid, because we needed to prove we are vaccinated and take yet another covid test.
The good news is that our hotel, Pan Pacific is great. It is right on the water with a great outlook from our 20th floor room.
And dinner at Hy’s Steak House was as great as we remembered. Don’t forget the table-made Caesar Salad. Flambe items are always fun to see and eat.
Tomorrow we have be downstairs at 6:50 AM to start the trip. Not my favorite. They wanted us to have our bags outside at 6:10 No thanks. We will haul our own.

By the way I love your new icon of your heads poking out of the train great! clever! and very fun looking!
