Yellowstone National Park – Day 1 (2021)

Yellowstone is absolutely jaw-dropping. It is gigantic and a combination of so many things. We spent today focusing on The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and Norris Geyser Basin.

Our first stop was Artist Point and I thought that it couldn’t get any better. Then…

Yellowstone is so huge that it has its own Grand Canyon in an area of the park.

This guy was just having a bite as we were driving by. He was right in front of us!

This guy was right out in front of the Justice Department; definitely not in the wilderness.

Here we found a cute small rocky loop.

Norris Geyser Basin is the hottest, oldest, and most dynamic of Yellowstone’s thermal areas.

Sheepeater Cliffs is formed from columnar basalt.
