Xian, China; Cruise Day 94

The only reason we came to Xian was to see the Terracotta Warriors. The trip was worth it.

They date from 210 BC, and were discovered in 1974. Known as the Eight Wonder of the World, they are all about an army to protect the First Qin Emperor in his afterlife.

They think that there are 8,000 of them, but only 2,000 have been excavated to date. They are life size.
