Singapore
Singapore has always been one of my favorite stops. Historically it has always been neat, tidy, safe, and a delightful shopping mecca.
We had a memorable fine Italian dinner at Forlino, located at 1 Fullerton Road, a beautiful area on the water and directly overlooking the new hotel casino being built by Las Vegas Sands.
In the last few years they have worked hard on making Singapore more fun, and have added many great tourist attractions. Gambling previously has been illegal, but the world is changing.
If you had to live in a totalitarian country, this would be the one to choose. The citizens may not have much freedom, but they have a very high standard of living.
