Malta 2025

Malta is an independent country in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. It has few natural resources, but its location makes it particularly strategic. It has been populated for 7,000 years with wars and fighting for 5,000 of those years. Malta has been independent since 1964, and is an EU member.

Since we were here overnight, we ate in town last night at the great Thai restaurant Blue Elephant. The food was as good as the ambiance.

On a previous visit we walked around the beautiful old town of its capital Valletta. Today we decided to tour the island. What a treat.

First stop was Blue Grotto. And I mean BLUE!

We toured several cities along the way. Each had unique old buildings, lots of stone and heavy Catholic influence.

We could have used ever more time here.
