Crater Lake and Grants Pass (2021)

One of the great things about road trips is that it is not just about the destination, but also about getting there. We were able to visit Crater Lake.

For years Crater Lake has been on my bucket list of places to visit. I wasn’t disappointed. It is magnificent.

So many fun factoids:

*It is the deepest lake in the country
*All water comes from rain or snow*
*It is the deepest lake in the country
*It is the cleanest lake inn the country

Crater Lake National Park is one (the only?) of the few where there is not much to do except enjoy the beauty.

Then it was on to Grants Pass.
Our hotel, The Lodge at Riverside was delightful. Our room sat right on the edge of the Rogue River.

When at the Rogue River It makes sense to have dinner at River’s Edge. What a great location. The food and service match. Wonderful evening.
