What a magnificent and fun day my GF Linda and I had at Playa Mia Grand Beach and Water Park. We left the husbands behind in order to attend a Mexican Cuisine Workshop.
The day was enjoyable, informational, and such just a blast! The chef INSISTED we begin the lesson with margaritas, cerveza, sex on the beach or some other form of imbibing.
I couldn’t resist taking a pic of our friend Steven with salt on his nose from his margarita!!
Then the jokes and the laughter began as we took our tortilla balls and gently smashed them. Then we squeezed the tortillas on the edges to make a rim after which we filled them with shrimp, and chipotle sauce, then sprinkled it with shredded lettuce, and cheese.
We made caramelized plantains with chocolate and tequila sauce.
And finally the pinnacle dish, seared and then baked fish with veggies and tomatoes.
Of course, after all the exhausting cooking, we sat down to enjoy our feast!! I HIGHLY recommend this tour for a day of enjoyment! Also, even though I love cooking, I DID learn a few pointers!
