Generally we are in Europe this time of year. Our time is split between the beach and sightseeing with a European poker tournament or two thrown in.

This year we are staying closer to home because we have three important commitments. The first one is a wedding in L.A.

So yesterday we flew to L.A. and had planned to have dinner with Allyn’s kids at Wolfgang Puck’s great steakhouse, CUT. Since it is located in the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire Hotel, that’s where we decided to overnight.

Unfortunately the restaurant was sold out. Oops. Michael Shulman to the rescue. Not only did he get us an 8 o’clock reservation, but we had the best table in the house and they comped us delicious tuna tartar and luscious sliders.
