The Chinese are nothing, if not pragmatic.

The Temple of Heaven was built in 1492 and used twice a year by emperors to worship heaven and offer sacrifices while praying for bumper harvests and favorable rains.

Here I hug an important tree whose vibes are good for life extension.

On the grounds people sing dance, exercise, play cards, chat and do tai chi. Since the latter is right up my alley, I joined right in.
