Bali, Indonesia 2026

We have visited Bali, a beautiful island in Indonesia, many times. Whereas Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim-majority country (87%), Bali is primarily Hindu, coincidentally also 87%.

Having toured the island extensively previously, we decided to have a spa day, for which they are famous. We visited Zahra Spa, one of many high-end luxurious, yet inexpensive spas seemingly all over the island.

I mean for Allyn and me, we each had pedicures as well as 90-minute massages and the total price was $81. We were so thrilled that we returned on day two for yet another massage.

The sculptures on the roads made the 15 minute drive a beautiful tour by itself.

The Garuda Wisnu Kencana is one of the largest statues in the world, 25% taller than the Statue of Liberty. It is the ultimate symbol of pride for the people of Bali.
