Zadar is the oldest continuously inhabited city in Croatia.

It is one of the most popular Croatian tourist destinations and referred to as “Croatia’s new capital of cool” by The Guardian.

The Land Gate, built 1543, was once the main entrance to Zadar.

Generally, it is another interesting old town to walk through.

Not every building has been restored though..

People’s Square has been the central meeting point in Zadar for 500 years The clock tower was built starting in 1562.

Five wells square.

The Greeting to the Sun is a monument dedicated to the Sun. It consists of a 22-meter diameter circle representing the Sun, with three hundred, multi-layered glass plates with photovoltaic solar modules underneath. Lighting elements installed in the circle turn on at night and produce a light show. We missed it because we were only there during the day.

The sea organ is the most famous attraction in Zadar. 35 underwater pipes stretching across 70 meters, makes the sound.
