Siem Reap, Cambodia (day 2)

The raison d’etre for our overnight was to visit ruins and Temples, and that is exactly what we did today.

It seems that people living in Cambodia (and most of Asia for that matter), 500 – 1,000 years ago either built temples or fought wars.

The morning highlight was the amazing Khmer ruins of Angkor, truly one of the wonders of the world.

After lunch we visited the famous Angkor Wat Temple which is almost ¾ of a mile square. I had to take a break for a while.

The highlight may have been the mysterious enclosed jungle temple of Ta Phrom.
