New York City, 2026 1

Today is a first. Never before have we traveled with just us and the two grandchildren alone. New York here we come.

The American Museum of Natural History has always been one of my favorites. I used to take the kids’ dad and uncle there about once a month when we lived here.

Don’t miss the new $30,000,000 redone Hall of Gems.

You can learn about the world’s largest living mammal.

Over 100 dinosaurs are on display. They seem to be the crowd favorite.

We dropped by Zabar’s to show them what a proper deli looks like. And there is nothing like it anywhere.

Then it was lunch at Barney Greengrass. My goodness, it looks the same as it did 50 years ago when I used to eat here every weekend.

Bon Appetit hit it right on the head (see headline above).

Times Square is still jaw dropping.

Of course, when is a trip to NYC without Broadway. We were lucky to see the fantastic 2026 Tony Award Best Musical Schmigadoon. It didn’t detract anything having front row center seats!

St. Patrick’s Cathedral is the largest Roman Catholic cathedral in the United States and is so impressive in the middle of all the fancy stores on Fifth Avenue.

You introduced me to Barney Greengrass 100 years ago and it’s a must on every visit!
