Mauritius
Who knew that Mauritius would be such a good stop? After all it was a back-up. The city area is certainly better than the Seychelles.
I have no clue why, but they are famous for cashmere here. We visited a small factory and purchased a couple items.
Then we had an authentic Mauritius Indian meal at a private home, or at least it looked and felt like one. Obviously this is what the family does for a living.
The food was great and it was a blast. We ate with our fingers – That is how they do it. We had seven items served on a banana leaf.
Later on the way back to the ship, the coach stopped for a passenger/friend who said we absolutely must see the town. That was fortuitous. It also was wonderful.
