Isafjorour, Iceland
I’ll bet you have never seen this before. At least we never have, nor have we heard of it.
The photos below are in chronological order taken every few minutes around 10:30PM. The sun was suppose to be setting but it started to rise; then it set.
We finally figured out (we think) that it was because we are so far north (we crossed Arctic Circle yesterday) that our ship that was heading west got us closer to the sunset at a faster rate than the sun was going down.
Eerie.
We just walked around today’s stop, Isafjorour, pop. 2500, known for beautiful landscapes and the best bakery (Gamla) in Iceland. Obviously we chose the bakery.
