George Town, Penang, Malaysia 2026

George Town, (yes it is two words) the capital of Penang in Malaysia, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surprisingly it has a population of almost 3 million people and is Malaysia’s second largest city and economy.

We really enjoyed seeing the architecture in Chinatown and particularly visiting a couple Buddhist temples.
