Singapore

Singapore is known as extremely humid, very clean, very boring, good shopping, punishment that exceeds the crime, and a totalitarian government where the average citizen has a very high standard of living. Previous JetSetWay blogs have spoken to those issues.

Just last year the Marina Bay Sands had their grand opening after a $8 billion investment. It was developed by the Las Vegas Sands and is truly magnificent. Singapore residents have to pay about $80 just to walk in the casino and they are flocking. Maybe that speaks to the boredom issue.

We had dinner on the roof overlooking Singapore at Ku De Ta. Try it for either dinner or drinks, but don’t miss it while visiting Singapore.

As is usual in Asia we enjoyed terrific reasonably priced massages. Here we did not even having to leave the cruise terminal.
