Sendai, Japan; Cruise Day 104
The only reason I can think of for this stop is so that they can sell a tour or two, and say we stopped at another city.
We are here a total of five hours, the port is an hour away from town, and the town is no big deal.
There is not even any place outside to mill around by the ship, which is unusual.
So, we just stayed on and had a pleasant day “at home.” It was really quite peaceful and enjoyable.
Reviews from the passengers who ventured out were mixed from “it was a waste of time” to “it was a lovely afternoon.” Nobody said that it was a travesty that we missed it.
