Icefields Parkway – Lake Louise to Jasper, Alberta, Canada (2021)

Those who know say that The Icefields Parkway, about 145 miles, is one of the most beautiful drives in the world. That is from Conde Naste Traveller, not me. I might have to agree though. It was a key reason why we signed up for this trip.

The first stop at Bow Lake got us off to a great start of beauty today.

We walked, more like we slipped, on the Athabasca Glacier. That was a hoot.

The Columbia Icefield Skywalk juts out 980 feet above the valley.

Athabasca Falls certainly weren’t the highest we have seen, but they are one of the prettiest.

Love seeing your photos of these gorgeous places! (I got to stay at the Banff Springs Hotel…in 4th grade!!). I STILL remember well the beauty of that place, and Emerald Lake!
