Zermatt 2
This city personifies quaint Swiss cities. They have no cars which makes it particularly nice.
This morning we climbed the Matterhorn – via rail. Some people do it the old fashioned way.
We lucked out on the weather. Yesterday they had 100 mph winds at the summit and the peak has been behind clouds for two weeks.
The picture above is from our hotel room this morning.
At the summit, we hiked a bit, ate lunch, and just sat around and enjoyed the moment.
Allyn purchased a couple of very Swiss items. First was a Swiss Army knife that now comes is a credit card type size and container so that it fits nicely in the wallet. Then she sprung for some chocolate.
