The Seabourn Sojourn is a brand new ship, one of three ships Seabourn is rolling out in the new 450 passenger luxury class. For years, many have considered Seabourn the ultimate small ship luxury cruise line. But, this ship holds about twice as many passengers and, impressively, is about three times bigger.
The food and service is as good as we have ever had. Being new, the ship is immaculate and they keep it that way. The restaurants have even have more pizzazz than imagined.
Especially on cruises with many sea days, we still prefer the luxury ships that are a bit larger and therefore have more venues, better lecturers, and more entertainment overall.
My favorite room is a new concept, Seabourn Square. Here they have lovely open spaces combining a deluxe coffee shop, library, living room, and a couple dozen Internet stations. Also up to four guest service employees are on hand to help with whatever is needed.
Our cabin is sensational. I have had a couple that are bigger, but this is elegant and has some special things – such as a solarium with a Jacuzzi.
