Santorini, Greece

Santorini is so gorgeous. I did not do it justice.

We spent the first half of the day on the beach. Because of the volcanic structure of the island much of the sand is really tiny black pebbles.

We had a wonderful relaxing lunch at one of the many restaurants in town overlooking the sea. Then it was back to the port via cable car.

Until 1982 all transportation was either on foot or donkey. Now only misguided tourists take the donkeys. Walking works too if you don’t mind sliding all the way down in their poop.
