Hong Kong Airport (and Other Asian Cities)
It’s not new information that airport travel is a drag and getting worse all of the time.
Many deluxe hotels (in big Asian cities) have done what they can to deal with getting through the airport by having “handlers” permanently at the airport.
On our arrival, the Mandarin Oriental representative met us as soon as we cleared customs. He took our bags, called his limo driver (who was waiting for us) and we were whisked to our hotel.
Departure was very slick. When our driver pulled up to the airport, there was a Mandarin rep waiting for us. He howdied us by name, grabbed the bags, and escorted us all the way to the check-in area.
